Our fabrication process demands specialised knowledge of plastic materials and their behaviour under different forming conditions. Using our CNC‑controlled folding press, we produce precise, consistent forms efficiently — offering customers a cost‑effective solution that also saves time.

When combined with our CNC routing capabilities, this allows us to create complex and highly accurate shapes, tailored to each client’s specifications. The result is a seamless integration of efficiency, precision, and quality in every component we produce.

Heat forming is required when a plastic material cannot be cold‑bent, such as Acrylic, or where a complex or multi‑angle shape must be created. This process allows the sheet to be softened in specific areas to achieve precise, controlled bends.

The technique works by passing an electric current through a fine resistance wire, generating a steady, low heat. The plastic sheet is positioned over the wire at the exact point of the desired bend. Once the material reaches the correct forming temperature, it is folded into shape and placed in cooling jigs until rigid and stable for finishing.

Common materials suitable for heat forming include Perspex®, Acrylic, PETG, Polycarbonate, PVC, Polypropylene, ABS, Styrene, HIPS, Polyester, and Mylar. Typical products made using this process include acrylic display shelves, leaflet holders, guards, shields, barriers, showcases, and point‑of‑sale displays.
